I use Macs at my school which have Lightwave Modeller 7.0. The copy I have on my home PC is 7.5.

I can send files from my PC to the Mac with no problem, despite the Mac version being older. Thus far, nothing I have done has made it possible to do it the other way around.

Initially, I thought I could just add the extension while having the file on my computer. Ended up with Error reading File "blah blah blah"

So the next test is while on the Mac, I tried addind the ".lwo" extension before uploading it to my webspace, but when I tried it at home, it still gave me the: Error reading File "blah blah blah".

Looking at an older topic, I also attempted to use bbedit to save my file with that extension, the only difference in this case:

modeler.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Can anyone PLEASE tell me what I can do so that my PC can run the lwo files I work with from my school Mac?

Well the first thing you should do is ask your school to upgrade to 7.5 on the Mac. It is a free upgrade from 7.0. Also you could try exporting your model out as 5.6 compatiable if it doesn't exceed the point limit of 5.6. Then load that into the PC version.
