I'm back with a new problem :P

I have a flamethrower right. The gun the pipe and the tank. what is the best way to make it so the pipe will follow the gun. If the gun moves far away from the tank it will get stretched out and if it's close the pipe will have a lot of slack.

I don't think adding a bunch of bones for this would be appropriate as i would end up with 50+ bones. Just hoping there is technique or something that can help me.

Thanks

-Thank god for these forums

You could use bones which wouldnt be horrible with a proper setup.
You could also try using clothfx but you have less control then with bones.
Another plugin that would work well on a PC is shift spline transform.

tried it with a phone cord, just for fun and to see how it would behave, works so-so :]
(metalink would be the proper way for a phone cord)

Is it possible you forgot to post the phone cord ?
It's the same scene as I posted, with the tube object.
