Hello all,

From my experience, and what I've read so far, I am under the impression that I can't capture radiosity shadows by using the shadow density surface property. I've had pretty good success compositing using front projection mapping on my stand-in object for still images. Now I am experimenting with video sequences. I am finding that it's very difficult to keep the lighting correct through the sequence so that the stand-in stays matched with the background plate. I am no guru but I would imagine it has to do with keeping my virtual camera moves and lens settings synced to the real video camera. I've tried compensating with fill lights but it's quite the nightmare. Does anyone have any tricks up their sleeve for compositing those beautifully photo-realistic radiosity cast shadows on a animation sequence?

Thanks,

Jason

I know that G2 has Luminous shadow darkening which might be the sort of thing you need so it might be worth checking out at worley.com
