random connected polygon selection

Hi everyone

I'm looking for a pluging/script that does this in modeler:
imagine we have in one layer 100 spheres and I want to randomly select spheres.
I had this plugin somewhere but I can't find it. Anyone knows it?

hmm...the problem is that I want to select random spheres. And if I use these scripts, it will select random polygons and most of the time it will select random polygons in all the spheres, then when I choose select connected I will choose ALL of the spheres.

I had a plugin/script that did what I want but I can't find it anymore. I searched in the forum, google, flay, plugindb, etc. but can't find it. I was hoping someone could have it.
