I recently got a new machine... so I'm trying to get the 64 bit app to run.

I called customer support and was told that since I have the purple USB hardware lock I'm good to go. Just download the 64 bit. Install. Register for a new license...

I registered and got the 64 bit key.

I tried the registration utility. But after running it and getting the message that the key had been updated I was still only able to run in discovery mode.

So. I did the old school manual license.key file in the programs folder method. Still no dice... being told the license key can't be found. I've doublechecked to verify there's no .txt extension on the file...

I had that same problem using Win 64 RC. No one answered my Q.

Mine turned out to be operator error.

I needed to slow down and read the definition of the license key I was copying from the registration screen. I was just assuming the last key in the list would be the newest... but in fact the last key in the list was my 32bit key. Once I actually copied the CORRECT license... what do ya know! it worked!

Have you tried turning your user preferences off in Win7 64?
Look under "User Accounts" in your control panel.
