newbee Q- quicktime ntsc

ok so i render my scene with d1 ntsc- setting in lightwave 7-- with field rendering odd first cause im starting at 1-right...
then in quicktime settings i did dv ntsc- b4 final render...

then i render-

is it supose to look horrid? big pixelation all over? on my monitor ??

im preparing these files for dv ntsc- for after effects ...for tv -
or should i just do .tga files

its my first gig i just graduated - but they briefly went over this,,,,

you mean the quicktime looks bad?

Go to Movie/Get movie properties - in the window that pops up set the first drop-down list to 'video track' and the second list to 'quality', then check 'high quality'.

QT runs DV movies in low quality by default so it will play in real time.

why does it look crappy...is that because of dv ntsc and field rendering..
i almost had a heat attack !

if i export this movie ntsc set to high quality for stills will they be high qality? i need now to make a web version s as well as tv or should i just render it all over agin at normal 640- 480 settings????

I think it's just because it's displaying in thousands of colors instead of millions, plus the fact that interlacing never looks good on a monitor - I'd re-render for the web version, maybe all you need is 320x240?

they want it for the web also- at first they wanted a liltle gif - now they want to use it for an intro...

so i will rerender just the jpgs i guess and give it to them as just jpgs... and let their web guy do it from there..... i didnt agree on doing an intro-
