I'm currently working on a cartoony frog.

Was at the store and there was this DVD near the cash register, some low-end PBS animation for 5 yo's, I'm guessing rendered in LW (from 'the look'), and I was examining how tightly the eyelids fit to the eyeballs.

My frog's (WIP!) eyes are a bit oval, that is, the sockets and lids describe an oval volume, and I was thinking I'd do a little magic in Layout to oval-ize the eyeballs while still allowing them to target (If I can remember/figure out how to do that.......)

Anyway, just looking for tips to sculpt nice, tight-fitting eyelids.

:help:
THANKS!

One of the best setups/written tutorial on NTs site:
http://www.newtek.com/lightwave/tutorials/modeling/cartoon-eyes/index.html

Basically it uses bone magic to deform the eye into any oval shape, but maintains the ability to target it as normal. It's absolutely brilliant.

It's unfortunate that you can't find this through the new Lightwave site which seems to think only videos are hot these days.
