All of a sudden HD_Instance stops working

I didn't do anything, just worked with a scene.
Then, when I reloaded older scene, I get error:

"No plug-in of type VolumetricHandler found with name HD_Instance. Would you like to load it from disk?"

Why all of a sudden?

Actually it's not just HD Instance but all my plugins! I'm on a mac. So maybe this thread should be moved to mac section.

When I try to add plugin HD Instance, I get message "Plug-in file .. is currently in use and cannot be replaced..
So my plugins got kinda, broken?

The only thing which helped was to remove all plugins and add all of them again.
I would like to know why this happens about once per year? What file actually gets corrupted?

Might be your config file getting corrupted.

Yes perhaps that's it. It could be that actually it got corrupted day before, since I didn't reload scene to Layout, and I tried to restore already corrupted version of that file.

By the way, congratulations for Siggraph presence! The demo was amazing.
