what AA did you use?
if you didn't use enhanced I would recommend it, it was designed for thin parallel lines like the ones around the neck of the cup.
that's my only crit!

hi yup i've upped the setting to enhanced to sort that problem out n also played with the bump map to make it match up with a real pot noodle "pot"...i didn't want to use real geometry on that part of the model as it would increase to poly count quite a bit so a simple map made in p shop did the trick in this case..seeing as you'll never get as close as this shot it should hold up quite well.
thanks for the input

works well, did you trace the logo?
because this site is a gold mine!

yeh , had to make the logo in corel draw seeing as i can't find it on the net as a decent enough pic or ai file..i took a digital photograph the use this as a basic template to re draw spline lines in corel draw..it's not purfect as i really wanted to ge on and make a render before the home & away came on t.v!
potnoodle is printed onto th plastic so you get distortion of the logo n text so i had to draw it out.
i ususally see if logotypre.ru have what i need but they don't have pot noodle..nor does that website you poinyed me to either..but thanks for the link as it will come in handy on another job no doubt!
cheers

I prefer the Chow mein flavour - it *almost* tastes like food ;)
I lived on these things when I had a motorcycle crash and was on crutches.
I'd boil the kettle, fill a flsk while hopping at in the kitchen, then prop my leg up and chow down on plastic food - for 3 weeks.
Amazingly - I still eat them, but only to avoid cooking. No cooking - no washing up - Result! :D
Oh - to keep this on-topic - the top doesn't taper in the out, it continues as an outward taper then the last section is a heavier taper. (Or as we know them dog-nose sized - for obvious reasons).

i think the camera angle which is top down gives you a distorted viewpoint
here's one from modeler and a real pik off the net

Yup,
That must have been it - they almost seem to taper in - well at least it shows LW cameras have some distortion, even if it isn't real world :p

Pretty realistic. Are You sure it's not supposed to read "Not" Poodle?:D
ahh well it "had to be"..i'm going to eat the reference product!
haha, yeah it's looking good though. Could go either way, pop art or commercial product development.
It's one of the few things my GF can cook. Though she calls it Instant Rahmen.
