Nuke + LightWave = What?

For the life of me I can't figure out how to integrate these two(Nuke and LightWave). How do I import the .chan file into Layout? Because Layout is just giving me Mo-cap. I hear stuff about FBX but I don't see anything. Yes I've tried Google and no I didn't find anything on LightWave and Nuke.

If any you have experience in this I would highly appreciate it, or recommend to me a different software to use besides Nuke.

Yes I've tried Google and no I didn't find anything on LightWave and Nuke.
