Hello once again.
We're looking to hire a local Lightwaver in the Tampa area who can put in 20 to 40 hours each week for the next 4 to 8 weeks.
Sorry, but remote workers will not be considered for this position.
Applicants should be proficient with all basic functions of Lightwave Layout, and have good administrative skills. You'll be asked to load hundreds of LWS files and double check version numbers on the character lwo's, as well as double check all final render settings/locations. Additionally, you'll be asked to submit the LWS files to BNR and oversee the renders.
This is a perfect position for recent Dave or other Certificate program grads.
Please get in touch with some information about yourself, as well as links to resume (if you have one) and demo reel.
Hoping for someone to start within the next two weeks.
Thanks in advance.

Still looking.
Nobody in central Florida needs to pick up a temp job for a couple months?

What if I open this up to remote workers? There would be a big catch; it wouldn't sound like a big catch, but I promise you - in my experience with freelance remote workers, it is a big catch:
You would need to religiously adhere to my file management system. If I try to open an LWS and get notification that a certain LWO or image file is missing or can't be located, then you will have failed. The idea here is to make things ready for drop-in to BNR, which means failure to adhere religiously to the directory structure and file management system will result in inability to drop lws files to BNR without getting tons of errors.
Additionally, for this to work, you will need to know what 'mapped drives' are, and you would need to have drives that can be mapped to match the letters we're using for our read/write drives over here.
Honestly, these requirements don't seem that difficult to me - but finding someone who understands the importance of directory structure maintenance has proven nearly impossible over the years that I've been working with freelance workers. Many people have done great work for me, but 9 out of 10 times I have to relink the images and object files to the lws files - which would entirely defeat my purpose in this case.
So there it is. I'm opening this up to people outside of Central Florida.

Did you fill this position or no? I am interested, too bad I didn't see it earlier. :(
I lived LW shot break out, render management for 2 seasons on that space show. In otherwords I had to do this awake and sleeping :)

Just wanted to let everyone know that we've received lots of great applicants and it looks like things are going to work out on a couple fronts.
Thanks again to all those who got in touch.
