Is there something about SE-2, uncompressed AVI's, under windows 7?
Did I just reinvent the perfect storm?
I set up a client with a nice Windows 7 system with SpeedEDIT 2. We also have a Blackmagic Decklink Studio for monitoring and output to Beta and Digibeta. So far, so good. No problem. I usually render the final project up as a nice uncompressed .AVI file, (UYVY) 720x480 or 720x486. They play fine in SE and play out from SE thru the Blackmagic card to the decks.
BUT, when I try to make DVD's everything goes to heck. :cursin:
I've made extensive test clips in many codecs. Uncompressed AVI gives me all kind of issues
Nero Vision 10 sees the clip as one or zero frames of video and a full length audio track.
TMPG Authoring works, sees the clip as slanted and greenish.
Windows DVD Maker is also slanted
The exact same uncompressed AVI files work perfect in Nero 8 on my Windows Vista laptop.
I've been baffled for weeks.
Andrew, John, help! Is there something about Windows 7 right now? Can I upgrade my Direct X? Does SE-2 need a patch?
I know I could re-render the AVI's into something else, but it's 20 Half Hour shows. Guess I'll bring my laptop to work.
Thanks,
