Domino effect on Characters?

Similiar to The Numenorean Army in Lotr (Fellowship Ring)

How would you do this in LW with one character
which has some fall down mocap applied?

Fxlinker,mdscan & mdplug was a thought but when you need 300 of these
it chugs with large mdd file sizes.:devil:
LW 10 needs to have Instancing and AI fitted to it,that would be a seriously cool release!:newtek:

Hvoxels and particle emitters seem to be the route to go,
but looking for other ideas from anyone who has better suggestions.
