Hi, I made a paintover on your paintover. Maybe you find it useful.

You know that is something that I like, though I'm not sure others would because it's so intense. Thanks for your input, I do value it. :)

Hi Jason. The image style reminds me of some comics i've read with which i have some problems in liking.
Working over 3D images instead of drawings can be "hard", since drawing work many times with suggestions and pointing to subjective sensorial data that, one filling the ready&go 3D object's surfaces with textural insterest may fail to work with.
I have some issues with bazsa's paint over, but check how he worked more the ambience in image. creating points of light, shadow areas, vanishing details and removes some of the flatness.
Check out that Mech warrior. It's another prespective of "dirt" over the image. The lighting work in the render with the job over it looks like some preety cool comics which goal was some realism, before 3D became so established.

Yeah those are some good examples of adding "grit" to the image. I may keep developing this concept, I do like some things about it but it does need some extra punch.

I tried to do a overpaint over your image but i wasn't sucessfull either :D
The first is just to look like paint, the second one is more edited.
But the brushes you choose can really help, as also the light setup and shading (Lambert to Cell Shading or something...) in LW.
Happy painting

Cool textures in those Probiner. Definitely some good ideas starting to sprout.
