i'd like to post just a notice about the pixplant OSX release. afaik it's the first app which can generate seamless color, diffuse, normal, displacement and bump texture maps at once running on mac OSX. crazybump was announced to be mac compatible one day, but some years had passed since the announcement - and it has never been released.

PP can generate seamless textures from image seeds in a similar way luxology's imagesynth does it, and it's running quite well on mac, as the developer did take the port seriously. well, i can say this because i had the opportunity to beta test it... ;)

for now, it's available just as a standalone app - but the developer is evaluating if to develop the mac PS plugin version as well.

here the link to their web presence: http://www.pixplant.com/

cheers

I don't use macs but I loves me some Pixplant. The only things it lacks over Crazy Bump is the ability to import a normal map you already have and tweak it. But then I have 3D-Coat for that.
