Right now you have clip jumps to center, jumps to beginning, Jumps to end. I would like to have a "jumps to none". There are times when I zoom in to a place and select a clip to mark the end point where I am at and it jumps to what is selected on that jump to. I would like it not to move at all maybe it should say no jump. Is there another place I should put this in as a feature request because it drives me mad :help:

Just to mention it, if you turn tracking off that's what you get (but it's not the only thing you get).

What does tracking do beside that?

If you turn tracking off, the timeline will not pan automatically during playback.

With track clip not checked, the project scrolls when played while zoomed in.
Also with track clip not checked and a clip not highlighted the project will zoom in on the time-line cursor.
This is the way with SE 1.5 and SE 2.

Pete's right, of course (thanks, Pete). One other thing seems different - afaik, it used to be that timeline clip selection only mimicked storyboard clip selection when Track was on (this is described in the VT manual, which was the foundation for the SE one). Now, timeline clip selection 'tracks' storyboard selection regardless of the Track switch state ... only within the same pane, though. For example, if you have a storyboard open in the upper pane, and a timeline in the lower, their selection states do not 'track' each other. But if you toggle from storyboard to timeline in a single pane, selection tracking does work (again, regardless of the switch state).
