Hopefully you will find three attached files that are a step by step procedure of burning a blu-ray disc. First I must thank Jose Burgos for converting my Powerpoint files to .pdf files for me. I really appreciate his help as I know that this will certainly make it more easily viewable by everyone.
In my procedure I’m using the following programs in this order …

1) SpeedEdit v.1.5.5

2) TMPGEnc 4.0 Express

3) PowerDirector 7.0 (a free program that came with my Pioneer BDR-205BKS)

Currently I have burned 5 BD-R discs that have successfully played on 2 different Blu-ray commercial players attached via HDMI to a plasma and LCD set respectively.
Also please feel free to adapt this to your own needs such as substituting a different authoring program in step # 3. As you will see, after you have
initially loaded your video into SpeedEdit and edited it, the file is saved as an .avi (no rendering) and a separate audio .wav file (rendered) and then encoded as a .mpg in TMPGEnc 4.0. There is nothing else done to this file in PowerDirector 7.0 except for burning it to the Blu-ray disc.
PowerDirector takes the file and allows me to add the chapters. The menu is an animation and the video inside the box is about 15 sec. of my opening video. If you select the Chapters menu then each chapter also has the moving video of that segment so that you can see what is there before you choose it ( I like that ). I was pleasantly surprised that this program worked as well as it did. It's certainly not Adobe Encore but it gets the job done.
Finally, give this to anyone that you think might want it to use it. That's the reason that I created it. Hopefully, it can help someone and you won't have to struggle as much as I did. Good luck and have fun !
