Can anyone tell me the best way to use DVD Architect Studio with Speededit? I saved my project as an mpeg-2 file. The content is only 100 minutes, but the file size exceeds the 4.7 Gig maximum (147%) for a standard DVD. I am not able to use the fit disk feature on DVD Architect. I tried mpeg-1; it fits the disk, but the quality is unacceptable. How can I compress my mpeg-2 files further?

Use tmpg to compress your files well. We use it all the time, and it allows you to adjust your quality/size settings in order to fit the audio and video onto your DVD while preserving as much quality as possible.

The tmpg software may be a good solution, but it produces a separate audio and video file (.m2v, .wav). Anyway to make it one single A/V file as a .m2p

Use their version Xrpess 4 and choose AC3 as the audio format. Xpress 4 is also faster and has more option.
Also, do a save as .avi out of SE and do a render of the audio separate. Use a 16-bit, 48kHz, stereo WAV. Load these separately into Xpress 4 to create the MPEG2 file. Again, choose AC3 as the audio format for Xpress 4 to embed into the MPEG2 file.
Take care,
