Hello All,

Its been a while since I posted, but I was out of town all summer and now I need some help.

I thought I would post my question here, since I am working on my first uv for a characters head. But, if I should post it somewhere else let me know

Here it is. I am setting up the uv's on my characters face and I made a morph of his head , like the example on menithings.com. So, I manually unrwraped his head and things are looking pretty good for me. But, when I go back to the base object I get the errors circled in red. There are two points sharing the same space there, but when I merge them, the points magically move along the spline. Until it is all fixed.

But, since I merged all those point together, they are no longer on my uv map for me to pull around and edit.

What can I do?

If you want to edit those points, select them and unweld them (ctrl-u) and they'll appear in the uv view again. When you've finished, merge them back together. A bit unwieldy (pardon the pun) but serviceable...

Thanks for the help.

Do you know why though, that in the top example when I merge that point, it moves along the spline?

That problem happens all the time when you've got a line of unwelded points, it's basically a hole in the subpatch cage that only shows up at the "end" of the line of unwelded points. Just make sure you've merged points, then go thru and keep welding by hand till you dont see it anymore. A quatize with a very small number and a merge might fix it quicker, but I prefer to fix that by hand.
