Lightwave 5 export OSX

Just upgraded to LW 7.5 for osx.
Modeler crashes when I try to export a LW5 format. Which I need to import to Bryce 5.
I end up with a 96k file that won't open.
We have two copies on two different machines (G4 dual 450's lot's of RAM) same problem on both. The models we are exporting are rather large aircraft models (400-800K), smaller files seem to work ok. If I boot into os9 with my old 6.5 LW they export fine.

Also as a footnote I've been looking into Vue4 for the Mac since Corel has decided to drop support for us.

Great rendering but have noticed that Lightwave files come in mirrored. Example-with an asymectrical object, things on one side end up on the other such as the island on an aircraft carrier.

I get crashes on my Mac OS X also. I need to export to a SGI LW 5.6 box. So I'm force to have it exported from a PC.
I have the latest 10.2.+,
Powermac G4 933 Mhz
1gig RAM
Geforce 4 MX
LW 7.5c

I'm going to try it in 7.5c on OS 9 later.

I just ran a test with an object in 7.5 (NOT 7.5c) and was able to export successfully. It may be that Export to LW5 uses LScript, which (if you check the buglist) will not write out files of any kind in 7.5c

Thanks for the tip mlinde I'll reinstall back to 7.5 and see what happens
