I edit with SE and just bought TMPGEnc 4 Express to encode to MP2 and then plan to bring it to Ulead WS2 to make DVD's.
I saved my 1 hr 21 min VTP SP program as an AVI and brought it in to TMPGEnc 4 Express. But the audio is at 40 h 48 min 47 s 00 (7052496000 samples) 48000 Hz, 2 ch, 16 bits.
Please help me. What settings should I have to fix this problem plus are there any other settings I should make for best quality.
I am technically challenged and desperately need your help. Thank You!!!!
P.S. I also bought Authoring Works 4

Jenny,
I use TMPGEnc Authoring Works 3.0 both for encoding and DVD authoring but, I think, the workflow is the same for your programs:
1. Save your project as .avi file (give it a slightly different name - in my case, if I did not change the name, I would loose the content of the Undo/Redo folder...)
2. Render audio only as .wav file (lossless and very fast process - remember its location...)
3. Bring into TMPGEnc video project .avi and rendered audio .wav as 2 separate files - works like a charm!..
Good Luck!

Right except to be clear, render the .avi wrapper file in XPress 4 as a MPEG2, like normal and then load that into DVDWS2 and the audio using the separate wav file. Make sure your DVDWS2 project settings is using the AC3 template fr audio and then check use template for audio only.
I don't use DVDWS2 anymore but you could try changing the audio setting in Xpress 4 to Dolby which and then just render the MPEG2 file with audio and see if that will load into DVDWS2 with out using the template.
Good luck,

Thanks a million! I did try the audio as a wav and it worked great. I will try Jose's suggestion too.
