Heya wavers,

Running LW 7.5c on Windows XPpro. Layout launces with default everytime. Not a show stopper but annoying when I have to go in and load binds and set options etc.....

Any idea on how to get it to remember my settings?

Thanks!:)

are you running this off a network drive? I have the same problem at work. I just save out my preferences on my 'puter and load them in the morning.

If it's running native on the machine, I'd check to see if the lw config file might be write protected or something. Do a find file for *.cfg and you'll find them.

This problem is related to the user management. Re-installing the OS does not solve this, 'cos there are always some parts from previous installations floating around. This would only work if you re-formated your drives (low-level formatting). Still, there are some things you can do:

a) Add your user directory to the path variables - sometimes it's missing (even though by default it should be there) something like so:

path=%systemdir%,%windir%, C:\Documents and Settings\<user>

b) Create a new user account. Windows should create a clean account where everything works again.
