Anyone experience video stutter during video playback on timeline? Avi is ok but mts has stutter issues.

Use a force render from video effects folder, or turn on BGround render in Prefs to Render All. What are your system/OS specs? GPU?

Intel Quad Core Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
RAM : 4GB

Still the same .. I guess I need to render to AVI first as AVI files are ok. Its the MTS files that stutter

Yes, render to .avi may be the solution. If you leave the SEoutput window small, does it stutter? You did not say what OS, but if Vista I would go with 8gig of ram. RAM pricing has dropped, but are you using dual monitors? This is where GPUram needs more. I will see stutters in some projects when SEoutput window is full screen, but not when it is small. So how is your studio setup? Networking? Single monitor? Xternal monitor? Are you using both GPU ports, splitting the GPU ram? If these files are just something you got for this project, your finding to just render to .AVI makes most of the above moot. If your going to be working in this format then you may need to address some of your system issues. fwiw, monitoring SE using FWire pass through a deck or camera is also a consideration. This is how I feed my VT from an SE only PC, so I don't use dual monitors or xternal SE only PC monitor.

You might also have good success with the new Filebin "Convert to SpeedHQ" function...
