New SONY monitor may be defective, but...

I'm not sure how to test it. I get a good image when using the S-Video connection, but when I try the component, the image is very blue. I'm connecting straight out of the Toaster card. The card has Green (Y), Red (V) and Blue (U) while the monitor has G/Y, B/Pb, and R/Pr. So, is this all color coded correctly so I connect green wire to G/Y, blue wire to B/Pb, and red wire to R/Pr? How do I determine if it is the monitor, the cable, or the card itself?
