Is the NewTek Video Toaster VT2 Software VT-2 BETA FORCE a full version of VT2? Never heard of the "Beta Force" before? I see it works on a regular computer. What is needed for it to work on the computer, beside the normal HD, Video card, etc. Did it need a special card like the earlier versions? I would like to know about this version. thanks.

VT[2] had significant input from customers before it was release worthy. BetaForce was that designation. So if that is what you have, and all that you have then it is inadvisable on two major counts:
1. It is beta, pre-release grade.
2. It is ancient and missing so many features, compatibilities (you like Win2k only?) and enhancements (RTV only).
VT1.0 was In-sync SpeedRazor centric. VT[2] released it from those wise but restrictive shackes and went 'Live!' but TEd (SpeedEDIT-VT's great grandfather) is going to be old old old.
Call NewTek or more logically, a dealer for your next options. The VT hardware remains the same however far back you go.
BetaForce as a study would be good. The fact that you've probably got a library of DVEs is also good. You'd likely still need to purchase VT[5] to use your card as an output card with the standalone SpeedEDIT 2, YMMV.
So, have you just bought it? Or was it sitting in a cupboard from a VT1.0 role of old?
