Vue'd Espirit just came out with a professional version of 4. It looks pretty fantastic, but what i thought would be of interest to people here is that it will utilize RendezVous for network rendering, and the program will integrate seamlessly with Lightwave. Check it out: Vue'd Espirit 4 Professional (http://www.e-onsoftware.com/Press/PR.php?date=September%208,%202003#)

Read it.

But not mentioned was HOW it intigrates, like are we able to use whatever skys are there or are we to use LW skys, do we get to see a new texturer in LW or do we have to totally set it up in Vue and then EXPORT to LW, will the textures hold up in LW with camera moves or are there seams in the textures that would be seen.

Need more info before I lay down 500, and didn't see it on thier site.

Seems to intigrate no better than Bryce.

This is probably the best landscape generating software out there.

It's interesting that they are releasing it at the MacWorld Paris Expo next week. The Mac Expos are a good place to get a lot of publicity for a software release (Newtek... hint, hint :) )

Also interesting is E-on's "RenderCow" technology. So companies are discovering that Rendezvous makes network rendering easier...
Quote from E-on software / Vue 4 Professional
"Hybrid network rendering of single pictures or animations using RenderCow™ technology on Windows and MacOS X, including leveraging Apple RendezVous technology to easily transform a rack of Apple MacOS X Servers into a render farm"
