Has anyone had trouble with Motion Designer Controller (Utilities/Plug-ins/Additional) in LW v9.6 on my PC. I am doing a Tutorial (World Wide Tour by Larry Shultz) and when I try to use it, it really wigs out. I've even tried opening his finished scene (to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong) and when I try to start it, the Object enlarges off the screen and disappears!
Any advice would be helpful!!
(P.S. this was happening on my Mac so I tried it on my PC and it does the same thing!)

What are you trying to do? Are you aware that motion designer was replaced with clothfx quite a long time ago? :)

Hi Larry,
I'm just finishing your Introduction to LW DVD Series (Modeling, Layout, Animation, World Wide Tour) that I purchased in 2003 or so (Yes, it's taken this long to finally have the time to actually do the whole thing!). It is done in LW 7.5 but up to this point I have not had too many problems converting the instructions and material to 9.6. Anyway, at the last part of the World Wide Tour, there is a short lesson on the Motion Design Controller using a flag object. That's where I've encountered the problem.
So, if this little Gadget is no longer used, I'll ignore it for now and move on. I'm glad to know that it is not something I am doing wrong! Where can I find a tutorial on clothfx?
By the way, I've really enjoyed your Tutorials and look forward to learning more! (Is the Character Series done in 7.5 too?) You are very patient and thorough with explaining things for beginners and I appreciate that!
Talk to you later,
Debbie Schultz

Hey Debbie,
Wow! I remember you actually. I appreciate the kind words. :)
Give me a shout via skype and I should be able to give you a hand with some of the basics on Clothfx...or at least enough to get you going :)
The character series is being revamped...Its over 80 hours and takes time especially when also updating the rest of the material as well. The majority of the information is still applicable though. :)

OK, I'm excited to see how it works! I've never used Skype before but just loaded it on my iBook and think I'm ready to make the first call. I've done a search for you and it shows 5 different names, so which one should I call? I am located in Calif., USA, so are we in the same time zone? When is a good time to call?
Debbie

I was located in California as well but am now in New Zealand. Probably the only one under splinegod in NZ. :)
