My Computer Win XP Intel Duo 3.2

Prior to installing upgrade I updated my Windows software/drivers. (This computer only goes online for updates).

SE 2.0 installation appears to be good.

However, when I try to bring up VT 4.6 or SE 1.5 I get the splash screen followed by and error message saying an unexpected error was encountered, and the software shuts down.

Any idea what the fix could be? I have a narration project starting Monday 3/8/10 and I really need the audio capability I have through VT 4.6.

Does it have anything to do with this problem ...?

I believe there is a patch for SE 1.5, posted on the NT download page.

Thanks for the SE 1.5.5 QT patch tip! The patch brought it back online.

But VT 4.6 is still down. It probably needs a similar patch as well. I went to my Registration folder and looked for an update. The one listed for my system would not run "not a patchable version" or some error message close to this displayed. (I have LW 7.5) and I'm pretty sure I downloaded the correct patch update.

I'm still looking for a solution for VT 4.6 - ?

Thanks for your help on SE 1.5.5.

NT Tech Sup. told me to uninstall my Quicktime and reinstall a older version before 7.6.4 (I think). Anyway I did, and VT 4.6 came back to life.

I hope this earlier version of QT doesn't knockout my Digital Juice Juicer.

Anyway to summarize for anyone down the road that runs across this post:

Orig. Prob. - Upgraded SE 2.0, Win software/drivers, and Quicktime player - this caused me to lose my VT 4.6 and SE 1.5.5 programs.

Solution: Ran SE 1.5.5 patch from my Newtek Registration folder (online), and this brought back SE 1.5.5.

Reverted back to earlier version of QT to regain use of VT 4.6.

Thanks for the help!
