Mxf audio

i do not see this anywhere yet I may have missed this...I got away from my speededit for about a year and I have the latest version. I would like to return to it because I do like the way the editor is laid out however last year we tried to do a project with hundreds of clips. We shoot on P2 720pn 24 and found audio did not come in to speededit as it did in Premier. The idea of having to go back and find every audio clip finally got frustating and I went back to Premier. My vender does not seem to understand MXF. Yet, he did mention that thier is a codec that will marry the audio with the Video on import. I have not found this information anywhere and really would like to get back to Speededit ..Is there such a codec? I cannot imagine I am the first to have this issue with P2 files..whats up?

I seem to remember that early SE didn't automatically drag the audio to the timeline on that particular 720pn 24fps format.
But I am pretty confident John Perkins and I discussed that as being resolved.
We dont' shoot that frame rate so I can't promise.

I found a problem with this too, the MFX files loads fine in SE2, but the frame rate apears as 59.94! and it was shooted at 24... so I lower the speed to 50%, the video looks ok, but the audio is lowered in pitch! one octave lower....
Whats going on? what I{m doing wrong?

Can anyone share a tip here?
I'm desperate since I have to edit this P2 files, and there's seems to be ok at 50% speed, but the audio is an octave lower!!!
