Hi,
is there someone using Fusion and SpeedEdit 2?

I can read and write SpeedEdit Codec Avi with Fusion.
All Players can play them and even Premiere and AFX CS4.
But SpeedEdit can't play them .... wich is strange.
It's also not able to play Logarith Codec.

Can someone check this?

I am using Win7 64bit

Thanx Tom

I can play speedHQ and lagarith avis originated in AE CS4 and Virtualdub in SpeedEDIT 2 running on win 7 x64. There's got to be a problem in configuration there somewhere.

I can confirm the SpeedHQ format rendered with Fusion will not work in SE 2. This also happened to me a while back with SE 1.X and a think a new version of the SpeedHQ codec corrected this or a patch from Eyeon. FYI, I am using Fusion 5.3.1.

Take care,
Jose Burgos

Interesting - I can confirm SE2 won't play SHQ 4:2:2 clips rendered from Fu6. Have you bugged this, José?

No I have not because I'm digging through mu notes to see how it was fixed with the original SPeedHQ as it did not work with Fusion back then. I reported it to Isaac at Eyeon and Andrew at NewTek and don't remember how it was fixed. If I don't find it by tomorrow, then I'll bug it. Anyone else is welcome to bug it now though.

OK so HQ without Alpha (4:2:0, 4:2:2 or 4:4:4) will play fine in VT-SE and SE 1.5.5. HQ with alpha will not play on any version of SE and no HQ format rendered out of Fusion will play in SE 2 :(
I have sent detailed information and files to Newtek this morning.
This makes sense why I left it be when neither NewTek nor Eyeon fixed the problem (this was a few years back) and I just did not render out of Fusion with alpha anymore when using HQ codec.

Take care,
