Lightwave 5.0 saving frame as jpg

Hi everyone.
Ok so Im still using my Amiga 4000 with the Video Toaster 4000/Flyer and while using Lightwave 5.0 I have been trying to save a rendered frame as a jpg (the option is available) but whenever I render the frame and have the saver turned on with the jpg option selected it ends up crashing Lightwave. Is this a known bug or is there something I am doing wrong?

Does this happen with any scene or just this scene?

I have not tried a different scene yet but it saves as a framestore just fine and also a Flyer clip works.
