LW ui - Grey or light green?

I installed lightwave 7.5 a couple of weeks ago and been doing Dan Alban's Signature course. Lightwave is installed on my workstation.

I'm trying to determine which of my two monitors are displaying the correct colors.

I have 2 PCs. Both sit on the same desk with the displays sitting ajacent to each other. One PC (The Gamer)is connected to the inernet, its used for gaming and watching video tut's , etc. Specs for this PC is an AMD XP2700, Asus mb with nvidia2 chipset, 1 gb ram, Ati 9700pro graphis card and NEC 22" Diamondtron display monitor.

The other PC is my workstation - dual AMD mp2000 has a 19" Sony Trinitron display monitor with a nVidia quadro 4 - 750 XGL graphics card.

The workstation displays LW 7 ui as grey. Is this the correct color? The Gamer PC shows Dan's video captures of the interface as light green. However they show up grey on the workstation.

mine is grey...both monitors.

but then both mine may be off like one of yours, so not really a big help :D :D

mine's grey - maybe a little on the blue side.

I think the default UI is grey, but it can be customized. Mine is blue, with varying shades of blue for buttons, etc.

This is how I did it:

Open the lwhub.cfg file and add the lines:

BackgroundColor 0 108 242
StateButtonColor 0 218 246
ToolButtonColor 177 218 246
ActionButtonColor 200 218 246
DialogButtonColor 177 218 246
DragButtonColor 200 218 246
InfoAreaTextColor 0 0 0
InfoAreaColor 26 172 189

The sets of numbers represent the color in RGB values. Save the file, quit LW (if open) and your color scheme has been altered.

it apears if LW "legalizes" the colors and uses these settings to tint the interface" cool thanx

i made mine darker like dfx.

i found a problem when changing the toolbar color here... see that reddish orange (or whatever color that is), how to change that color... i used the link ( www.balo.com ) and set everything to those dark grey but why this red color still shows up... i mean it's not there in the lwhub.cfg

any idea how to fix this? thanx

i think it might be blending the color in to seperate the two types.

i got uprodictable results as well.

i guess i should just change the whole dark grey to that reddish orange huh? :p
