I'm not up to date on all of the SE capabilities, so could someone let me know if you've seen any issues with SE 1.5 not connecting to IEEE. I'm working on a network (school) and our cameras will work for a few months then they will not connect/show up on SE. Any help here?

Also, with many/all of the consumer grade cameras no longer including the 1394 port, has anyone heard of SE going to USB 2.0 capture? Any news/info would be helpful. We're completely stuck at this point bc our cameras will not connect and I can't find any to purchase that have 1394...
Thanks!

In some cases, the camera power up sequence needs done once, with how to connect in the camera manual. Sometimes it would need a softboot to find the IEEE connection is made. Some cameras will not work with USB and IEEE connected at the same time. If USB only is used, there are free capture programs, or a CD/program for capture. SE2 has addressed some codex's that were not in SE1x, so is a minor reason, major for some to upgrade. You may need to delete a IEEE connection and make a new connection, as what SE will see depends on the connection it finds. Yes, SE will make a list of IEEE devices that it can capture from, but if you are not the ONLY user of the workstation, then you can not be sure someone has not used a IEEE device in another program or made a new connection for some device.
