Hello, i don't understand live text funzionally.
I have to buy the software but I concerns about the operation.
Basically I can install Live Text in another PC where a second operator may devote to the graphics.
But this is a complete software installed on your PC or use the software Tricaster through network?
The PC connects to ethernet Tricaster right?
If I have to use external graphic layer, made by other customers, I have to load them on your PC with live text right? But how are sent to Tricaster, in what format?
I did not understand the limits of Tricaster using Ethernet connections.
For example, you can plug in a switch gigabit contemporaneamente:
- Ivga input
- Live Text Input
- Streaming live to Internet
With all these inputs Tricaster the system is stable?
Finally I wanted to understand what commands the operator can use the PC with live text, for example
- Manage the list of titles on Tricaster?
- To air with fade or take directly from your PC?
- Change a title already live on Tricaster?
The site I found a manual on the software Live Text.
I hope to get positive responses and decide to buy the software.

- LiveText and iVGA are both EXT (External) sources and you can only do one or the other at the same time.
- It installs on a separate computer and then controls what titles are displays on the EXT bus selection. So if you have EXT selected in Overlay, then the LiveText operator can control what title is displayed and change it at will but the TriCaster operator controls the fade and take as well as changing Overlay to TXT, PIC or DDR.
- You can stream, iVGA and LiveText using a gigabit hub with no problems.
- If a image file is given to you to use in a production, you have the choice to load it onto the TriCaster or load it into LiveText. If you load into Tricaster, you have access to it in many ways. If it is loaded into LiveText, it will only be sent Live via external.

thanks Jose for reply...but i have a question.

If livetext is a EXT input, such as the title or the graphics will be sent from your PC with LiveText?
iVGA capture the screen of the notebook connected to the input iVGA ... the quality is not high.
Live Text send to Tricaster the graphic files or capture the screen of the PC where you installed LiveText?

I do not understand how Live Text to transfer the graphics to the Tricaster: Live Text is a complete and indipendent software that to be installed on the PC for graphics, or is a software that uses networking software Tricaster?

LiveText uses a special protocol/SDK that allows it to send the title to the TriCaster via ethernet.

iVGA is different protocol and if you are getting poor quality from iVGA it usually has to do with the computers desktop resolution being too high. Also I would assume you are seeing the poor quality in SD video. If you view the iVGA through the VGA output of the TriCaster, you should see a much better quality image. People forget that SD video is 720x486 NTSC or 720x576 PAL and most desktop resolutions are higher some desktop resolutions are much much higher (1920x1080 is my desktop).
