Hey, just finished image, wanted to get some feedback on it.

I still can't nail the cloth for the shirt or the jeans. Anyone have any tips or tricks in making jean or cloth textures?

Thanks,
-Joe

what's wrong with his face? And ALL the deformations in ALL the joints look off. Fix your weight maps and your rig. As for texturing, ...good frickin' luck.

Joe,

I just want to say that I think your LW rigging tutorials are the best I've seen.

As for jean textures, the free Simbiont plugin has a jean shader.

Thanks, TyVole. I'm always glad to hear people getting use out of it and the other stuff on my site. I've been meaning to add new stuff but just can't find the time!

Anyhow, I must have been a little misleading on this post. It's a very experimental image, I'm just playing with some lighting and texturing effects. Everything in the image is procedural textures except a little color highlights on the character's face and the "justice" on the wall. The model itself was cobbled together with some bits and pieces I had laying around. And it's obviously a very stylized character; extremely cartoony in it's look. So I'm playing with textures and lighting to see how good I can get it to look with limited time. I have a project coming up soon that'll need really quick work. That model's only got about 2 hours of work in it.

Here's another experimental post . . .

it loks like your going for a very angular style, i know alot of people who draw like that, Maybe not everyone likes it.

Im thinking of like bazaro superman style when i see this.

how do you say mixelplix backwards?

Think this angular style good but don't want to meet this guy on the street..................

yeah, guess that came off a little mean. I meant good luck in the sense that i know jack about texturing, so i had no advice to give, so "good luck".
