i need a plug-in for LW on the mac that will mimic a fisheye lens effect. Don't know where I can find one, hopefully free.

Not sure if this is exactly the effect you are going for, but you could always just turn the camera zoom way down, to .75-.8 or thereabouts.

marble-sheep is correct.
If you look at real-world fisheye lenses, they are actually just short focal length lenses (5mm or less) so you should be able to mimic the effect by changing the focal length of the camera to a very low number.

the effect is like look at a city skyline, except all the buildings seems to curve as if they stood on a really small sphere. Kudos, man, I'll try your suggestion but I have a feeling it might not quite work for want I want.
I'll be back.

Maybe you could render the scene in front of giant refelctive sphere with camera facing the sphere. or use flat render of it as a reflective map on a sphere

Good idea Nakia! You could even go so far as to simulate a lense in front of the camera with a transparent sphere with refraction turned on. I've never actually tried that, but it seems like you've got some ideas to play around with now. Good luck!
