View Full Version : LWCAD Stops Snapping - Baffled

Can anyone think of any reason why LWCAD would not snap, other than the usual and obvious ones of not having snapping on?
One of our licenses works normally, but the other simply will not snap - I have compared settings, I can see no difference. We've tried clicking the 'Default Settings' button, which is apparently the usual catchall for fixing LWCAD problems.
But no snapping. The tools seem to work OK otherwise, so we're baffled. I could reinstall anyway, but before I do, thought to ask.
Thanks.
Julian.

I found that because I had replaced all LightWave's native tools where possible with the LWCAD version, when I went somewhere that had only just got LWCAD I was irritated that I was trying to move something and it wasn't snapping - it was because I was using the native LightWave tool, rather than the LWCAD Move Snap tool.

Julian,
I have had that before and could never figure out why, there seems to be the odd occasion where it simply won't snap, or snaps to a bizzare place.
Trouble it, I can never accurately reproduce it so as to pass on a bug to Viktor. :(

Well, it wasn't that BeeVee - though such things happen :D
This morning, it is working, inexplicably, without having made any changes, so I guess the thing that Colkai sees was happening here as well.
Not a good week for us and LWCAD, unfortunately. This, the offset problem, and since reading the mass round thread, I have not had much luck with that tool either.
Oh for the day when all this stuff just works.
Julian.

I have run into this random snapping problem as well.

It acts up when multiple layers are selected. Typical modeler issue- some tools work with multiple layers some don't.

It's probably a Newtek problem - hence the reason for Core.:D
