Windows Media Player 9 for OS X 'coming soon'
September 5 - 13:45 EDT - Microsoft has updated its Web site (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/software/macintosh/osx/default.aspx) with a short tidbit announcing Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X: "Coming Soon! Windows Media Player 9 Series for Mac OS X will deliver compatibility with 9 Series audio and video content."
Version 9 is currently only available for Windows. The multimedia player is presently at version 7.1 on Mac OS X.
I saw this on MacMinute.com and thought you guys might like this bit of news. Of course, next years Siggraph will be using WMP 10 and we will still be at 9, but that's another story.
