Okay. I need to practice streaming. TriCaster is on broadband in office; PC I want to stream to is on DSL in same office; different Internet services.

Is the location for the PC I want to stream to for testing it's IP address? If so, what do I set up on the PC to receive the video streamed from TriCaster?

If the 'location' in TriCaster is the IP address for pushing to the test PC, what is my 'username' and password? Do I create these, if so how, where, etc.? If I wanted to test to Ustream, what would I set in TriCaster.

Okay, okay, I'm a pure neophyte with no one present to show me.

Help please.

To do a simple test with a pull stream, all you need to do is initiate the stream on the TriCaster, then open Windows Media Player on the 2nd PC, and choose open URL and enter the URL the TriCaster gives you. The problem is, you have to get around all kinds of firewalls.

Perhaps the easiest way to do this is to set up a UStream account, and stream to it. As long as you can get onto the net from the 2nd PC, you should be able to see the stream from anywhere. Search the forum for UStream, and you'll find Zane's excellent step by step tutorial on setting up to do this.
