Wanna do something for PBS? Or do something in the PBS style... Here's their "Red Book".

This is the online version of the PBS RED BOOK of the packaging, deliverable, promotion, and legal guidelines for PBS broadcast programs.

Don't have anything to add, I just laugh everytime I think of that line from "The Jerk". :D
I like to use it myself from time to time.

S/VCD Tools near the bottom of the list. (Like VideoServer plugin 0.951 - allows frameserving into applications that don't support avs, includes full SVCD encoding for instance...)

Scope this guy out:

These are the best stabilizer plans I've seen yet.
Who wants to spend $7,000 for a steadicam
when you can build this well designed rig.
Deegan is a hoot too.
Check out the demo video called "TESTING"

Complete plans, parts list and instructions for a very nice hand-held stabilizer. ...add a gimbal and pistol grip and this could be a first rate piece of gear.

This page is not dynamically linked. The formulas are in the source code. Just copy the page to your notebook and take it with you.

From Elliot,
Try as I may, I struggle with electrons. I guess I'm a visual person, I have to see the little buggers to understand em.
I'm planning on putting 12 volt batteries on a stabilizer sled but I have a Canon XL-1S which uses 7.2 volts. I stumbled on what appears to be a great site for us electron impaired.
www.national.com
Click on the WEBENCH™ Tool link. You have to register to get the good stuff but it is worth it.
I filled out this form about what the input voltage min. and max. the output voltage and amps. and it generates a suggested part....and this is the cool part....it will generate
a schematic,
a parts list,
board layout,
build instructions,
and if you want a prototype board !
They even build it for ya. While some of the more gifted among use can do it cheaper. $38.00 U.S. seems like a great deal to me.
