Have to quit Modeler to change font with text tool

When using the text tool (W) I have first loaded a font in the font list aund used this.
I then open the font list again select another font, but it still uses the prevoius font.

I actually have to quit modeler and restart it to get the correct font.

I this supposed to be like this??

No. With the text tool active, you should be able to write a text and then scroll through the different fonts in you font list using the up and down arrow and the text in the viewport should update automatically. That's how it works on PC and on my system atleast.

EDIT: I might be misunderstanding, so excuse me if I'm stating the obvious. The Edit Font List panel is for installing fonts, not setting the active one. After you've activated the Text tool (W), press n for numerics to view all the options for that tool.
