I purchased this TriCaster in late 06 and had an in-house editor that knew how to use it. He left long ago and I just now need to put it in service. I'm having to teach myself how to use it and my camera, VX2000 is only showing b/w in the camera ISO. I don't seem to have any control over bright, cont, hue or sat.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Send an email to demo@newtek.com with your mailing address and I will send you The TriCaster Getting Started instructional DVD for free. It's a 2 hour DVD that covers the basics of operating your TriCaster.

Which model Tricaster? What connection are you using (component/svideo/composite)?
You might have the input set to component when it should be composite. Check out the Tricaster manual attached.

Thanks Rally, I'm using component and tried two diffent camera connections, one and two. I've used both S-video and component in the past with three cameras. I want to think I was getting color images then but it's been months and I was really only a neophyte then. I've got the manual but it's not that clear on some subjects; or at least to me.

YOU DO know about the "input Setup" tab, about 2/3 of the way down the screen on the production interface, right???
Just asking.
Hook your camera to Cam 1 input, then on input select, select input 1, and there are all the controls for adjustment
for that input. If I am not getting your question properly, feel free to PM me. I am a Tricaster newbie, but a TV career man
