output edited MPEG file?

I had to cut down a recorded file inside the TriCaster Pro, which went fairly easily. Now, I need to output that file, keeping full resolution, to use as a broadcast backup file. I don't know if I need to render it, or if there is a way to directly access the edited timeline. Any info?

Sure - the question is, does it do so to a degree that matters? You don't find a great deal of uncompressed HD running around loose in the wild, so evidently most feel it's a worthwhile compromise.
