Which resolution... ?

Hi it's me again...

I have bought a new monitor (display) too. It's a Samsung SyncMaster 757 NF. With my old 15 inch monitor i have used 1024 X 768... now I want t o use a higher res. , but i dont know exactly which one... I have heard that 1280 X 1024 is good, but i dont like it, because its so "squashed".... I think 1280 X 960 will be good for me... :rolleyes:

Use what feels right to you. The higher, the better. Make sure your refresh rate is also as high as practical. Usually around 85hz works well. Your refresh rate can be part of the reason your display looks squashed at 1280x1024. Try adjusting your refresh rate and manually adjust the screen position, you should be able to make it look right.
