Hi,
I was admiring the modeling winner on spinquad :

I was wondering how you would model the seam details on this model the slight thin indents really are nice, how would this be achieved ?

Thanks
Graham

normally, given that sort of model, I'd do that using slight bevelling. Where you have a thin indent, it would be a loop of polys which have been bevelled using multishift or some such.

Take a disc, bevel it in a couple of times, use bandsaw to make one of the loop have a thin cut. Actually, gimme 5 mins, I'll throw up a Q&D example. :)

EDIT:
Here we are, each layer shows a stage of the modelling. Basically, started with a disc, bevelled it in. Selected most polys, multi-shift.
Select a loop bandsaw, then multishift one of the thin loops created by the bandsaw.
