OK so I know I have sort of asked this question before but I am just finally using TMPEG for my rendering since Speed Edit and DVD Workshop don't do a good job.
Here's my workflow.
HD footage gets downconverted into Speed Edit (my system isn't fast enough to edit HD) Then I edit on a 16:9 timeline. Do I save the project as an AVI file then import into TMPEG? Then what are the exact settings from there? I want my footage to look as good as possible and I am starting to get complaints from clientsabout quality. I know my stuff isn't true HD but I think it can look better on an HDTV. My videos look great on an SDTV!!!!
I'm not understanding interlace and field position! I am also not great with technical terms so if someone can be as specific as possible that would be great :)
I tried some settings last night and burned a few discs. I can definitely see that TMPEG is the way to go and already looks like the quality is better but I'm getting some jagged frames and it's not quite perfected yet. What am I doing wrong? Also, how long should it take to render 1 hour and 30 minutes? I am doing another test now and I started it last night. It's only at 40%.
I want the final footage to show full screen on HDTV's and slight letterboxed on a Standard TV (not full letterbox I hate when there's too much black) make sense?
Thanks!
