Hello all!

Well, I just rendered 700+ .FLX files on my render nodes overnight. The delivery is TODAY (Sep 2.) I fixed the render error for the remaining 200 or so files, but I have a huge problem:

What good are the FLX files? I can pull them into LW & render them out as TGA's, but where did the alpha channel that LW created go? What is the FLX format? Who else uses it? Why does LW default to that instead of a useful format? TGA anyone?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Can't you see the alpha channel in LW's image editor when you set it to alpha only. I thought it would be embedded in FLX. The real use for FLX is if you need the extra lighting information (as in HDRI) that goes beyond the standard [R,G,B]=[255,255,255] especially when rendering with radiosity !!

Digital Fusion supports .flx, and there is a Photoshop Plugin for it as well ( check www.flay.com).
Cheers,
