:confused: !!!!promptly!!!!!! I cant to find how to create mask for part of screen between one vide in foregroun, with other on bkgr? HOW to crop video for clearnig edge(black border)? ... when I change size!!! HOW to create OWN DVE file(mask transition) in Light Wave for use it in Toaste Edit as I mean - for MASKING CROPPING e.t.c. .....!?!?!?!? I cant to find it in manual description!!!!! (sorry for my Engish) :(

First, if you want to do a simple crop of an image - go into the positioner panel and hold down the 'Ctrl' key while you drag the border.
I don't think you can do what you want with the TED positioner/cropping tools.
I think the solution would be to make in Aura or photoshop, etc a "mask" with the video places "cut out". You should then be able to key the video clips in by positioning them behind the mask.

I know a trick to do this but only works with two layers, in T2 and T3. Make the mask in AuraVT, (color is not important, transparency is) make your layer an anim layer (altho it's just one frame) and export it as a DVE in this way. Pull down the menu:
Filters, Transition, VT wipe builder,
In that pannel select your layer as "transition layer" select a path to save it, Click on "Build DVE".

Place your newly created DVE between two clips, and you will have the shape you drew cutting one image over the other.
Done. You can stretch the DVE as long as you want (I think)

If you want a border on the cutting shape, draw it in another layer using any tool or import an image, what ever. and select this new layer as an Overlay, on the Wipe Builder pannel, click on "build DVE" place newly created DVE in Tedit between clips, done.

It's quite painless.

To fade the effect in or out requires a third layer in Tedit, a copy of the clean background layer, fade it in or out with overlay on.

To do this to a third clip you could render out the segment and apply a second "DVE" or make a subproject and use the second DVE on it. Sometimes DVEs work on subprojects sometimes they don't someone might know why.

it's easier than that. Make your borders in Aura. Then fill each area you want a video in with an odd color that doesn't occure in the video that will be played in that area. Make sure that all 3 arewas are different colors. Then chroma key each layer in stacking them on the timeline.

Ernie, It's an UPGRADE you are after. And the 'supervisor' is actually a 'reseller' that assists you in working with NewTek, USA.
We in the USA must also go through a reseller as that is how NewTek is set up: to distribute their goods to resellers who sell to the public.

They say they don't offer assistance with the Creation Kit but that's balderdash. hehe, they help with anything they sell and if they don't, we, the community, are more than willing to help a brutha out!

So, don't despair; go to your nearest reseller; get onboard the VT[3] fun!

Not that simple folks (upgrading from VT2 to VT3 that is)...you see, as far as Newtek is concerned we (in Europe) live in a distant galaxy which is beyond Newtek's aliens reach so upgrading is a matter of:

- praying
- pray again
- if the upgrade is still unavailable find and sacrifice some virgin (which is far easier to find than a VT upgrade)
- pray again
- If it's still unavailable just use something else :D
