File naming conventions

Is there any way to auto-name capture files so they begin with a number rather than with a file name, then the number, as shown in the preferences options ? It looks as if a name and then a number is the only option as far as I can see......

The short answer (as far as I can tell) is NO. What I do is set up a batch capture project and look at my script (unless there isn't one) and label my first shot "Tape Name"_"Client"_"Project Name"_"Shot_001". I also usually create a folder in the project folder called "Shots" and point the file to be created there. Then I add clips until the amount of shots in the script are allocated. Then I move them around to fit the footage before I batch capture. Then when you import into a timeline the shots are lined up in order and all you have to do is trim. I know the file name is long, but it helps when you have 100s of clients and multiple spots for each one.
