Any good online guides/explanations on 3D modeling in general, like bump-maps, textures, lighting etc. for a begginer? I am going to get Inside LW, but I would like to know the very basics, before I start learning about LW in paticular. Thanx:)

hi,
i just found this earlier today:
http://www.newtek.com/products/lightwave/product/7.5c/index.html
scroll the page down and see the "download links" and get the
LW 3D 7.5 Help File
it's really a huge file 87.7 MB, but it's also huge in the inside,
pretty much covers all stuffs written in the manual, but in a prettier colorful format... one best thing is that it has a 'search' for the topic you're looking for.. so really useful rather than scrolling down .pdf file of the manual. ( this "help file" is pretty much the same with any other software's help/manual)
so hmm i don't know, u decide whether the file size worth your time or doesn't... but my saying... get it :)
good luck and take care

Well, if you own lightwave, your manual's the best place to start.
